Equus Centre is situated in Granville Center, 5 km. from historic Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, Canada. The Centre consists of 250 acres with the North Mountain behind and the Annapolis River in front of the farm. The facility includes trails, a hunt course, dressage ring and jumping ring. An indoor arena provides shelter from the weather.

The school was founded in 1984 by Jennifer Weidhaas, B.A., B.Ed., who is also a Level 1 coach with Equine Canada. Jennifer has been active as a teacher and competitor in Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia since 1976.

The aim of the school is to provide a sound knowledge of riding and horsemanship for levels from novice to experienced, while fostering an attitude of friendship, cooperation and sharing among campers and staff.

Enrollment will be limited to fifteen students between the ages of eight and eighteen.

Staff at Equus Centre hold their St. John’s Ambulance First Aid Certificates and are chosen for their love of children and high regard for safety. The staff resides with the students.
