Description

Thanks to a generous contribution by Community National Bank (CNB), school and summer campers participating in NorthWoods programs during 2010 will be eligible to obtain financial assistance. The corporate support of CNB comes at a very imporlant time as schools and families feel the impact of these difficult financial times. NorthWoods has had program scholarships available through the support of individual donors and foundations in previous years. The CNB gift creates the largest fund we have had to serve needy families in any given year.

On behalf of the schools and families that will be able to take advantage of these scholarships we extend a most hearty thank you to Community National Bank for their strong support of NorthWoods and our connections to the communities we serve!

NorthWoods is excited to launch the second publication in its Northeast Guides Series. The Northeast Kingdom Mountain Trail Guide, written by Luke O'Brien. Produced with support from the Vermont Recreation Trails Program, the Northern Forest Partnership Program, and the Green Mountain Club, the guide features comprehensive histories and descriptions of the Northeast Kingdom's most popular mountain trails.

From Bald to Burke to Bluff, the Northeast Kingdom Mountain Trail Guide includes detailed maps and trail descriptions, colorful historical and geographical information, bonus sections on topics like fire towers and the Civilian Conservation Corps, and extensive photographs. Drawing from a decade of service to local trails, this publication provides a depth of information that is available nowhere else.
