Camp CAEN, a computer technology camp offered by the University of Michigan College of Engineering, is truly one of the nation's premiere summer computer camps. Knowledgeable staff, including enthusiastic engineering student mentors, teach classes that include: C++ / C# Programming, Web Site Development, Flash Animation, Graphics, 3D Modeling and Rendering, and Virtual Reality. No other computer camp offers the variety and depth of the technology classes offered here. From the engineering student labs to an immersive Virtual Reality CAVE, high-tech is here and students are invited to discover the endless possibilities awaiting them at the U-M College of Engineering summer computer camp.

Camp CAEN is a computer science camp that is about learning, exploration, and fun! The camp curriculum is planned to meet the needs of students with a range of prior computer experience. The U-M computer camp provides a successful educational environment because the students' interests are what drives the learning. The lectures last as long as necessary to present the material, and the computer labs are hands-on, learn-by-doing activities. The student-to-mentor ratio is no greater than 8 to 1. In fact, it's usually much less than that so that questions never go unanswered. There is also a computer for each student (no need to share.)

Enthusiasm at the U-M computer camp is further enhanced by networking with other students interested in the world of technology. Outside of class, there is plenty of time for recreational activities. After-class activities include activities such as soccer, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, billiards, swimming, capture the flag, frisbee, gaming in the labs, and exploring the U-M campus.

Camp CAEN regular sessions are offered to students, ages 12 to 17. The one-week classes "Digital Photography and Web Workshop" are also open to campers ages 10-13.
