Nearing 250,000 guests - from 7 years old to 93! - have enjoyed the Kumsheen experience since we pioneered rafting on the Thompson River in 1973.Our goal is to ensure that every guest leaves with a smile and with a desire to return again.

Since 1973, Kumsheen has rafted more river miles on the Thompson River and Fraser River than everyone else combined. We are the premiere Canadian rafting operation west of the Ottawa River. Although we have grown, Kumsheen still prides itself on being a family operation that cares for everyone that visits the resort.

Bernie Fandrich, who pioneered Kumsheen Rafting, was the first ever to take paying customers down the Thompson River. Because of this, he named most of the rapids himself such as Witch's Cauldron, Jaws of Death, Devil's Kitchen, and Washing Machine; let us just say the name is a good indicator of what these rapids have in store for you.
