On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff I would like to welcome you to The Children's Museum of Waterloo Region website. Together with a team of creative and dedicated volunteers and supporters we are all very excited to be a part of this amazing organization where there is always a celebration of the imagination!

It is both a privilege and a humbling experience to be part of such a wonderful attraction. This past year has been an exceptionally successful one, and our success will only continue to grow exponentially as we are still in the midst of enjoying the Andy Warhol's Factory 2009 exhibit; and looking forward to hosting the exciting installments ahead.

As I enter my third year as the leader of this wonderful establishment, I am pleased that the emphasis on programs, exhibits, and communications is resonating with our visitors and the public. During the last twelve months, together, we have accomplished a lot. I am pleased to announce that we have:

    * Attained the first annual operating profit and increase in paid attendance.

    * Began a Teacher in Residence program and launched 25 curriculum based programs.

    * Stabilized and themed our permanent exhibits.

    * Collaborated in excess of 30 times to bolster our public programs.

    * Attracted world class exhibits such as Andy Warhol's Factory 2009

All of this could not have been accomplished with out the dedication, time, funds and effort contributed by a very broad, very diverse group of special people. Those investments are quickly revealing inspiring results, and I am happy to share them with my team and with our guests.
