At Ojai Valley's summer programs, our goal is to provide a place where youth can grow spiritually through an intimate camp setting. In your week at camp you will experience things you could never do at home. You will step away from the norm and encounter God through worship gatherings, small groups, and recreation.

The imagination stirs at the mere thought of a mask: the opportunity to literally put on an entirely new identity. It is not our true self, but a preferable or convenient other chosen in a moment’s haste; then cultivated. An opportunity to conceal, to borrow, and to live the life vicarious. . . for a time. At first, the chaffing of its confining shell is offset by the fascination and opportunities of the new face, then its once ill-fitting plastic edges somehow soften against the calluses it created. The longer the mask is worn, the more comfortable it becomes. Ultimately it is hard to discern the façade from the essence it conceals. Still the screaming core longs to cast off the Mask that now wears you—to once again reflect the intended glory of the One who is unimpressed by the fragile veil.
