We want to take a little time to let you know what is happening withCorning Area Bible Club. We have seen the Lord working in the lives ofchildren all through the summer. We were able to have VBS at three areachurches this year: Woodhull, Prattsburg and Curtis. We had a number ofchildren who attended these, and we were able to teach Bible stories andtruths from them using the theme God’s Big Backyard. We know of 7 whomade the decision to invite Christ to be their Savior. Others grew in their knowledge of God and heard of some practical ways to serve others in everyday life.
Also this summer, we had two weeks of Bible Club Camp and here again; we could see the Lord’s hand at work. The children were able to hear good messages from the word of God, and had opportunities to memorize Bible verses. We had 22 teens that learned all the verses we assigned for the week. The time the kids spent in an environment of other believers was alsoprofitable to help them grow and learn from each other, and to have fellowship and make friends that will help them along in their spiritualwalk. Several dedicated their lives to the Lord and 11 made first timedecisions to be saved. We praise the Lord for working in hearts.Concerning camp finances, the Lord brought in money to pay for manychildren to attend by scholarships, who otherwise would not have been able to come. We still owe the Penn York camp facility approximately $3,000 which is lower than the past two years balance upon leaving the camp grounds. We trust the Lord to continue to bring in the funds totake care of this, and to make our deposit for camp next year. He is faithful and we know that He will meet these needs.
