Dianne O'Brien's interest in riding was sparked as a ten-year old member of the Canadian Pony Club, and completing the Equine Studies Program at Humber College in 1974.  She went on to found one of the largest pony clubs in Ontario which runs out of Whitchurch Riding Academy just outside of Newmarket, an equestrian centre she has owned and operated for over twenty-five years.  An experienced Eventer, Dianne also worked as an exercise rider on the racetrack for ten years.

Through her riding school and summer camp programs, thousands of students have been introduced to the joys of riding, with many going on to become international competitors.  Dianne continues to coach, train, and compete in dressage.  Having competed at the Grand Prix Dressage level and short-listed for the 1999 Canadian Pan-Am trials, Dianne is currently training with Olympic medalist Ashley Holzer.
