Our mission is to provide outstanding outdoor adventure experiences that teach Jewish values and leadership skills and influence the character development of Jewish youth. We do this through intense community building at base camp and on adventure trips.
Welcome to Ramah Outdoor Adventure. We combine 60+ years of Ramah camping experience with the best of outdoor adventure. Come experience an array of spectacular activities from hiking to horseback riding to climbing, all in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
Ramah Outdoors blends the best of outdoor adventure camps and larger traditional camps. Our chalutzim spend a significant amount of time out on the trail honing their adventure skills in small groups as well as time at base camp learning a variety of skills and becoming a part of a much larger community. All Shabbatot are spent at base camp as part of the larger community. Each session begins with a few days at base camp, followed by a spirited Shabbat. Early in the week (usually Sunday or Monday), Chalutzim leave on an extended excursion in the area of their choosing (horseback riding, hiking, rafting or climbing). Chalutzim return to base camp on Thursday or Friday and spend the next week engaged in programs at base camp. Following the next Shabbat, Chalutzim set out on their second excursion followed by a final Shabbat and week of programming at base camp. (Two week participants go on one excursion during their time at Ramah Outdoors).
