We envision a world in which all educational settings use active participatory learning so everyone has a chance to succeed in life and contribute to society.
Grants from foundations and corporations and contracts with local, state, and federal governmental agencies are the primary sources of support for HighScope programs and projects. Sales of materials published by HighScope Press are another source of support. In addition to receiving grants and contracts for specific training, educational, and research activities, HighScope accepts donations to its permanent endowment fund from organizations and private citizens.
The HighScope educational approach is known throughout the world, and centers for the dissemination of HighScope materials and ideas are located in the UK, Indonesia, Ireland, Mexico, The Netherlands, and Singapore. HighScope is not a part of the public schools or any governmental organization. HighScope preschool programs are compatible with the Guidelines for Appropriate Practice published by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The name "HighScope" refers to the organization's high purposes and far-reaching mission. HighScope materials are translated into other languages and available from various foreign publishers as well as from our online store.
