DescriptionOutside Art Programs are taught by artist and art educator, Dawn Malosh. Dawn holds a B.S. in Education from Northern Arizona University and was initially certified with a K-12 Art Endorsement in 1992. Dawn is a member of many professional organizations including the National Art Education Association, the North American Association for Environmental Education, the United States Society for Education through Art, No Child Left Inside, and the Coalition for Education in the Outdoors. Throughout her many years in art education, Dawn has served as an art department head, master teacher for art education students, an art specialist at a learning conservation center, a grant recipient through Arizona Commission on the Arts, and an esteemed presenter at various educational conferences. Most importantly, Dawn has facilitated the artistic growth of thousands of blossoming artists for nearly two decades. Dawn started Outside Art Lessons in 2001 when she began taking her private art students to the local zoo in her former hometown of Tucson, Arizona. Since then she has expanded her outdoor classroom to a variety of beautiful outdoor environments throughout the United States, including city, state, private and national parks, interpretive centers, equestrian centers, beaches, private gardens, local zoos, and private estates.
