Dutchess Community College is one of the best community colleges in New York state for academic excellence and the success of our graduates. Students who transfer to a four-year school after DCC do better and graduate at a higher rate than students who transfer from other colleges.

If you are thinking of becoming a student at Dutchess Community College - either to begin or to continue your education - you'll find all the information you need on this page. The College offers over 60 degree and certificate programs in areas from Aviation to Web Administration.

After the Admissions Office has received your application and your transcripts, you may be asked to take a placement test called COMPASS . We suggest you review the sample COMPASS questions  before you take the test.

Once we have your completed application, transcripts and testing, if needed, we will contact you to register for classes. If you have any questions or need more information, you can email the admissions office .
