In 1933, in the midst of the Great Depression, a group of educators boldly embraced a dream of higher education for Southwest Washington.  Seventy-five years later, that dream still resonates for Clark College and the community it serves.

Dedicated to the highest standards of education, Clark College was granted initial accreditation in 1937 based upon a visit by a committee of five professors from the University of Washington.  In 1948, the college received accreditation from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.  Through periodic reviews, it has maintained that standing to this day.

Clark College athletics is committed to excellence in academics and in competition. Clark offers ten varsity sports programs and has a proud history of regional and state championships.

Clark College athletics is part of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC). NWAACC, the parent association for 34 community colleges in the state of Washington and Oregon, is the largest single community college conference in the United States. It is divided into four regions: Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western. Clark College competes in the Western Region.   To follow the action and see how Clark's teams are doing, you can also visit the NWAACC Web site.
