Description

Located less than 45 minutes from most of our bus pickup points, the 14th Street Y's New Country Day Camp sets your child down in the middle of New York's natural beauty.  Swimming pools, hiking trails, and open meadows are the setting for this camp at Staten Island's 75-acre Henry Kaufman Campground.

Healthy outdoor experiences are at the heart of the camp, underpinning a curriculum that promotes skills development and guided enrichment.  Kids get to swim, learn to row a boat, play sports, and discover the natural world around them.  A choice of five special curricular units allow all campers, second grade and above, to design their own camp program which they can change each week.

Units include:  Team Sports, Arts and Crafts, Gymnastics, Theater Workshop, and Camping/Cooking/Pioneering.
