DescriptionLast summer we finished a deck and meditation stop along our Wilderness Trail that overlooks the creek traveling down a canyon to the Duckabush River. It’s a majestic, beautiful spot that we chose to call “Overcomer’s Point.” It is located near the end of the trail, after hiking up hills and crossing the suspension bridge. We wanted to remind God’s people how we become overcomers in His kingdom. During the Great Tribulation, we see the saints overcome the Accuser by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. I know, blood and death are not the best topics for Christmas joy and celebration, but it helps complete the big picture of God’s wonderful gift to us. – Birth of a child, death of a Son, resurrection of a Redeemer to overcome. “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33.
God had to work out many situations for all the prophecies to be fulfilled in the birth of our Savior. Joseph and Mary even had to flee to Egypt to avoid the death edict of King Herod. These thoughts have been very much on our minds the last 6 months as we have faced many challenges at WNW. (No, we’re not headed to Egypt) -
As we seek to make changes in our 2010 development, program and personnel, we seem more overwhelmed than overcoming quite often. Details
