Ringling College was founded in 1931, and has been educating artists and designers for over 75 years. It is a private, independent college, which offers an intensive professional education in the visual arts, design and the business of art and design. We have a proven record of success---our students are recruited by over 55 of the top companies who come to our campus every spring.

The College takes the accreditation process very seriously. As a result of the intensive scrutiny by outside accrediting associations, the College is a member of the Association of Independent College of Art and Design (AICAD), and is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) and the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). In addition, the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CID), formerly FIDER, accredits the Department of Interior design at the first Professional Degree level. What does this really mean? It means that we consistently evaluate our facilities, our faculty and our programs of study, to make sure we are always at the very top of our game.
