About Camp Allegheny
Who we are:
Camp Allegheny is a ministry of the Western Pennsylvania Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church for the use of its churches and members, as well as providing service to groups of secular or other Christian denominational background. As our mission statement says, "we provide a simple place for reflection offering enrichment, retreat, renewal and support to people of all ages regardless of church affiliation." We do this through hosting retreat groups of all varieties throughout the year and through our summer camping program.

Who we serve:
Camp Allegheny serves over 120 retreat and day-use groups every year from organizations young and old, secular and faith-based, large and small. In the past we have served both a 150 person strong national retreat of Romanian Baptists and a 12 person retreat from Frostburg State University's Safe Office group.
In the summers we serve nearly 1000 youth, children, and adults through the Summer Camping Program we facilitate for the Camping and Retreat Ministries of our UM Conference. These campers come from as many backgrounds as there are people and come to an appreciation of God and His creation through a huge variety of programs.
