Description

Located on twenty-three acres of woodlands and fields in Beverly Farms and just one mile from beautiful West Beach, the GUS campus is an ideal location for a summer experience. Our programming makes use of these bountiful natural resources as we explore our nature trail and local conservation lands, take trips to the beach, and play on our outdoor basketball and four square courts, playground structures, and athletic fields. Indoors, we have complete access to our classrooms, science labs, computers, SMART Boards, sky-lit art studio and kiln, kitchens, and air-controlled gymnasium and auditorium.

All staff members are chosen for their teaching experience, sense of humor, enjoyment of children, and commitment to making our summer program fun, inspiring, and safe for everyone. In accordance with our goal of providing one of the best summer discovery experiences on the North Shore, experts in their subject areas lead morning specialty workshops; responsible college and high school counselors assist them. Adult-to-participant ratios are typically 1 to 7. The Summer Director, lifeguard, and counselors lead afternoon activities. A full time nurse is employed for the summer.

Every year our program changes and responds to the interests and expectations of parents and children, resulting in unique offerings and a reputation for excellence. This year we have lowered our prices to reflect the realities our families are facing in our changing economy, and to attract new families to our program. But our philosophy remains unchanged; we encourage children to:

Explore their intellects and develop their imaginations,

Pose questions as often as they devise solutions,

Speak individually, yet work collaboratively,

Discover the best within themselves,

Respect all people and value their differences,

Act responsibly in our community and in the world.

I invite you to learn more about our Summer Program. Please read on, and feel free to contact me with any questions, or to request a copy of our brochure.  You can also download a hard copy of our application.
