Description

Welcome to Your Place in the Mountains!

Since 1913, Lake Junaluska Conference & Retreat Center has been the home of thousands of enriching events and worship services. Each year over 150,000 people experience Lake Junaluska through the SEJ's ministry programs, church retreats, Annual Conferences and countless other events. Lake Junakuska also serves as an exceptional vacation destination with cottages, hotel rooms and apartments serving as an ideal base for local exploration and adventure.

Nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina, Lake Junaluska provides a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Escape to one of our lakeside hotels or relax on a front porch rocking chair, gazing at the panoramic vistas of the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains that surround us.

We are close to Asheville, N.C., convenient to Interstate 40 and the Great Smoky Mountain Expressway. While visiting, you will enjoy comfortable summers, followed by glorious fall colors. While winter's snowfall blanket local mountains, our valley is mild and easy to access. Spring brings unequaled beauty with a carpet of colorful wildflowers. We are the perfect setting for you and your group in every season.

For almost 100 years people quickly found that our unique and ideal combination of scenery, facilities, location and hospitality make their events special and memorable. Choose us for your event and your group will be thanking you for years to come.

Stay at the Lake on Sundays and attend one or more of the four Sunday worship experiences: Holy Communion, Emerging Worship, Morning Prayer Service,Traditional Preaching Service. These worship experiences are held in the Memorial Chapel, The Amphitheatre at the Cross, and historic Stuart Auditorium respectively.Music by the Junaluska Singers is a part of the Stuart Auditorium service. Spirit-filled congregational singing is woven into all of the services with other means of grace as The Word is opened and proclaimed.
