Summer at Santa Catalina is a place filled with play, joy, and learning. From arts and athletics to yoga and marine biology, we offer attention-grabbing classes that spark curiosity and build confidence and independence.
Our teachers and counselors are committed to the growth of every camper and dedicated to the values of honesty, respect, and kindness. We provide a safe, laughter-filled haven where you can sing, dance, paint, swim, write, take photos, play sports, and most important, build friendships that last a lifetime.
We invite you to the beautiful Monterey Peninsula for a tradition that has touched families around the world for over 50 years. Join us for Summer at Santa Catalina!
Summer at Santa Catalina is dedicated to the physical, social, and spiritual growth of girls. Our summer program strives to nurture girls as they begin to build their independence and self-reliance. We aim to help campers develop the virtues of honesty, kindness, and respect for others. Our goal is that campers receive and contribute to the support of a caring community and leave camp with greater self-confidence, eager to be contributing members of their own communities.
Santa Catalina's location on the Monterey Peninsula gives you access to a wonderful array of activities not found anywhere else.
Weekly evening activities may include a bonfire at Carmel Beach, relay races, arts and crafts, a visit to a spa, or an '80s dance party. Activities for all age groups encourage you to play together and build camp spirit, while events for individual age groups strengthen your individual friendships and group character.
On Saturdays, there are all-camp field trips to places such as the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Raging Waters, the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, and the Great America Theme Park in Santa Clara. On Sunday afternoons, counselors lead small outings to nearby parks and beaches such as the Pacific Grove tide pools, the white sands of Carmel Beach, or the majestic views at Point Lobos.
