DescriptionWe have been raising, training and showing Shetland Sheepdogs for over 40 years; Poco Bueno and other quality foundation lines of Quarter Horses for over a decade, and are currently building a small herd of registered Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats. Contact us for information on stock for sale. Nigerian Dwarfs are a dairy goat breed of West African origin. With an average mature height of 17-21 inches and weighing 35 to 75 lbs., they make great backyard pets, as well as 4-H projects that are easy for even very young children to handle. A Nigerian doe can produce over 2 quarts of milk a day for home use or making cheese or soaps. Nigerians are gentle, friendly, have a calm, even temperament, and are inexpensive to keep. Most of all, their antics are great fun to watch! Several does due to kid in May/June. BJ acquired her first purebred Shetland Sheepdog in 1967. In 1968 that Sheltie, Tammy, earned the honor of highest scoring Sheltie at the American Shetland Sheepdog Association National Specialty. It was there that BJ first saw Ch. Halstor’s Peter Pumpkin (still the breeds top producing sire) and fell in love. She purchased one of his daughter’s and began showing and breeding—a career that lasted for over thirty years. Details
