The Art Pad is an art studio for the whole family. We like art, whether it’s Crayola or Calder, Degas or decoupage, macramé or Mondrian. At The Art Pad, you can design a mobile, paint a landscape, make a mosaic from Aunt Mae’s china or form fanciful figures from Fimo clay.



The Art Pad inhabits an old stone house in Central Austin, providing a nurturing environment for the creative spirit. In the front of the house you'll find an inspiring collection of mosaic materials, creative gifts, and art supplies. Whether you want to create, shop, or browse we have what you need to support your latest creative endeavor or artistic quest. In the back of the house is a large studio space used for camps, lessons, parties, events, and DIY studio time.
