Description

Our mission is to provide performers with tools, technical training, and information to learn about the world of musical theatre. This project could not happen anywhere else but here. The concept of this intensive is unprecedented. Students will take class and rehearse with a comprehensive array of industry professionals, learn every aspect of the theatre, and showcase what they have learned in a performance.

Our “Creative Movement” program, specialized for children ages 2 – 6 boys/girls, is one of the best activities a child can be involved in because of its many benefits.  “Creative Movement” develops basic motor skills and coordination using techniques of Ballet/Tap, and in other programs such as “Tumbling Baby Pop”, Jazz/Funk, and Hip Hop/Acro.  It includes basic dance steps, activities, and role playing to develop musical awareness and self-confidence.  The curriculum is designed to hold a child’s attention, therefore, music and activities are sure to change every three to four minutes.

The attire for the  program is extremely important to your child’s progress and can be purchased at our studio.  Girls must wear a leotard with  tights and hair must be in a ponytail or bun to avoid any distraction.  A skirt is optional.  Tap and ballet shoes are also required. For “Baby Pop” a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes are required.  Hair must also be up in a ponytail or bun.  Boys can wear either a tank top or T-shirt with sweatpants and bare feet.  For the perfect amount of development, these classes are

forty-five minutes long.  Children are required to be dropped off no more than ten minutes early and be picked up on time.

These minor details will make a big difference in your child’s behavior and will avoid any unnecessary anxiety. On the first day of class, understandably, it is a very exciting event; however, it is important that only one parent walk the child into the waiting room.  The reason for this is that more than one family member will create a party atmosphere and distract the child from wanting to be part of this new activity.  You are welcome to wait for your child in the waiting room during class.
