DescriptionThe Bemidji State University MusiCamp provides a week of study and performance. Students can take private lessons, perform in ensembles, participate in music classes, and attend and perform in concerts. The camp is open to students who have completed one year of a band or other music program, through those who have just graudated from high school. Ensembles include concert band, jazz band, and small groups (percussion ensemble, brass ensemble, flute choir, etc.) Class offerings include music theory, conducting, jazz improvisation, and music technology. The camp also presents a faculty recital, student recital and talent show, and concerts featuring all large ensembles at the camp's close.
