Tonescape is a band who’s sonic character crosses borders and inspires listeners. Mitch Helble (guitar), Jullien McVean (guitar), and Tim Short (percussion) are all classically trained musicians with varied rock n’ roll backgrounds.

Together their music weaves a fabric that spans the distance between delicate classical guitar solos and heavy instrumental rock – all with a distinctly original style that doesn’t sound forced or contrived. Haunting melodies and intricate interlocking parts give way to improv solos and powerful rock riffs creating a unique tonal landscape.

Mitch and Jullien released the bands first CD “Compositions by Mitch Helble” as a Duo in 2006. The trio is now writing and recording material for their next album while performing out of Boulder, CO.
