Description UCLA, one of America's most prestigious Universities is beautifully nestled in rolling green hills just five miles from the beaches of Santa Monica. It is bordered on the north by protected wilderness and on the south by Westwood Village, long known as an entertainment magnet for the entire Los Angeles area. UCLA has been the educational home of many of the entertainment industry giants. This weeklong camp provides a professional foundation for performing in the musical theater. It not only is for the curious but also for the advanced as it offers on many levels, intensive training in acting, voice, movement, dancing, understanding music and singing for the musical theater stage. A strong focus will be training performance both individually and in groups. The camp is taught by working professionals and/or members of the professional faculty of UCLA's Ray Bolger Musical Theater Program, who bring years of their expertise and guidance to the training of each camper. It is a unique camp experience that will have every musical theater student humming and singing show tunes in the halls of their dormitory at night and dancing to the rhythms of Sondheim, Hammerstein, and Kanter and Ebb during the day. This camp fills quickly, so register early! Details
