Description This US Performing Arts Musical Theater Camp is the essence of the “triple threat.” Campers will take daily classes in voice, acting and dance. Rehearsals and class preparation will be part of the fun as well as the focus. The University of New Mexico Department of Theatre and Dance is proud to share the accomplishments of our talented students and faculty and our many innovative projects. We hope you get a sense of the excitement we feel as we study and create performances in a community that supports exploration, risk-taking, and collaboration across disciplines. Enjoy your visit! The College of Fine Arts encompasses the Departments of Music, Art and Art History, Theatre and Dance and Media Arts. These are located in the Center for the Arts, the Art Building, Carlisle Gymnasium (Dance) and the Center for Environmental Research, Informatics & Arts or CERIA (Media Arts). Within the Center for the Arts are also housed the UNM Art Museum, the large concert hall (Popejoy Hall), the music recital hall (Keller Hall), the principal theater and dance performance space (Rodey Theatre), and a smaller experimental theatre (“Theatre X”). The Fine Arts Library is located conveniently nearby in George Pearl Hall and maintains full library services, including a reference desk, a reserve book room, a rare book room, a periodical room, and listening facilities.
