After a standout college career at Southern Illinois University, Tim went on to play in the NASL for the Minnesota Kicks, Tulsa Roughnecks and the Chicago Sting. Currently, he is director of Twellman Soccer. Tim's eldest son Taylor stars for the NE Revolution and the US National Team; younger son James (Stanford grad) was drafted by San Jose in the MLS; daughter Alexandra played D-I soccer at Saint Louis Univ. Tim brings over 19 years of off-the-field soccer sales and marketing experience and over 30 years on-the-field coaching experience.
On March 21, 1982, Twellman earned his only cap with the U.S. national team as a defender in a 2-1 win over Trinidad and Tobago.
Taylor Is the oldest son of Tim and Moochie Twellman. His brother James was drafted by the San Jose Earthquakes in the fourth round (42nd overall) of the 2005 MLS SuperDraft and graduated from Stanford. His sister, Alexandra, was a standout soccer player for St. Louis University/University of Richmond and graduated from SLU.
