Description

WES offers lessons in the English style of riding to adults and children, all year round.WES also provides summer and winter camp programs to children.Horses and ponies at WES are carefully selected for the rider to learn and progress.

At WES riders learn the classical position and basics in a fun and safe environment. Using a progressive teaching system, riders can assess their goals and discuss objectives with their coach.

Sherri Cavalier has been coaching riders for more than 25 years. Sherri has ridden and competed in Hunter, Jumper and Dressage. She also played polo for many years. Owner of the school, Sherri wants to pass along her knowledge and love of horses to new generations of riders.

Lori Young has been with WES since returning to riding after working in the equestrian industry. 'Lori's Girls' show off property at Trillium level, work as a team, and enjoy their mutual love of all things horse.

Peter Snell has coached in the area for a number of years, in between finding time to pursue his own event riding and working full time in the equestrian industry. Oh yes, Peter is a busy DJ as well.

Gerri Lewis is qualified in testing EC rider levels and competes her horse at the FEI level dressage.

Amy West has shown and coached in the Hunter ring as well as Dressage. Amy brings a sense of humour to her lessons at the same time as helping students achieve their goals.

The coaches at WES are all enthusiastic and empathetic to the rider to help acheive goals in a positive atmosphere...

Located at the Bloomington Road exit from Highway 404, on the south east corner of Warden Avenue and Bloomington Road, WES is easily reached from Thornhill, Richmond Hill, Markham, Stouffville, Aurora, Newmarket and Uxbridge.

The property consists of 50 acres with grass paddocks for turn out, a competition size sand dressage arena, a grass riding arena doubles as a turn out paddock, an indoor riding arena with the ability to run two lessons at once.

In summer, the paddock behind the indoor arena is transformed into a play area with a large craft tent for campers.

There is also access to lovely hacking on the Oak Ridges moraine.
