Havendell Farm is a twenty acre horse facility offering group and private lessons in Western and English riding. We offer a family friendly environment, and specialize in children's and adult riding lessons. Please feel welcome to call and schedule a lesson or a tour of the facilities.
As an extension of our lesson program, Havendell Farm offers summer day camps for children. Our day camps are geared toward beginner and intermediate level riders. Basic horse care, riding skills, and safety are emphasized. Games, demonstrations, crafts, and hands-on learning are used to enhance a child's experiences while they are here.
Children involved in scouting programs can work toward earning their "Try It" and "Horse Lover" badges. Troop Leaders can schedule a group event where members can ride horses and ponies and learn about basic horse care, tack and equipment, safety, proper attire, trail safety, and other subjects that help scouts earn their badges. Each scout will receive a project book with helpful information, puzzles, and horse-related activities.
Havendell Farm is a twenty acre facility consisting of a stall barn, 80 x 150 foot outdoor arena, 60 x 60 foot indoor riding and training area, and paddocks with run-in shelters for turn out. The tack room is heated and air conditioned, has a seating area with table and chairs, refrigerator for public use, and a viewing window into the indoor riding area. A short, wooded trail at the back of the property allows riders and horses to have a change of pace from regular lessons and training.
