Headfirst Lacrosse Camp is designed for young players of beginner and intermediate abilities, and our groups and teams are separated by age groups and grade levels. Beginner and intermediate are encouraged to join us to have fun and improve their lacrosse skills this summer! Please note that beginner camps (ages 6 to 9) do not require campers to bring equipment other than a stick, while intermediate camps (ages 9 to 12) require campers to bring full pads (shoulder, chest, elbow), helmet, and stick.
With our “Play Smart and Get Dirty” approach, our lacrosse camp emphasizes individual skills, basic fundamentals and team play in a positive coaching environment. We focus on throwing, catching, and cradling with both hands. Repetition is stressed through-out the week to build muscle memory. Drills and positional practice enable the camper to develop the fundamental skills needed to play with confidence during games. Coaches demonstrate each drill before players perform.
There will be plenty of positional drills that will simulate games and at least two scrimmages and games per day. Fridays are Final Four Championship Fridays as campers enjoy plenty of skills contests and tournament play throughout the day. Campers are encouraged to dress in their favorite lacrosse team jersey for Final Four Championship Friday.
