Headfirst Baseball Camp is unrivaled in the Washington, DC area. Designed for ball players of all abilities, our groups and teams are separated by age groups and grade levels. Beginner, intermediate, and experienced players are encouraged to join us to learn and have fun on the baseball field this summer!
With our “Play Smart and Get Dirty” approach, our camp emphasizes both team play and individual skill development. Throughout the week we focus on throwing, catching, and fielding techniques during drills, specialty position practice (pitching, catching, infield, and outfield), base running, live hitting, hitting drills, and sliding. Campers are divided into smaller groups for station skill-work to provide an intimate learning environment and specific, individual teaching with our professional coaching staff. They also play at least two live and/or skill games per day.
Baseball campers work to improve on their hitting and swing mechanics with participation in daily batting practice sessions and the Headfirst Baseball Homerun/Line Drive Hitting Contests. Tee work, soft toss and live pitching (kid and coach pitch depending upon age group) are used throughout the week. Kid pitch is for ages nine and up only. Fridays are World Series Fridays as campers enjoy baseball games and skill contests throughout the day. Campers are encouraged to wear their full baseball uniforms for World Series Fridays. Campers are exposed to a wide variety of skills in a fun and positive environment to learn baseball the right way: the Headfirst way!
