Description

Cedar Knoll has a long and rich history. Once an important link in the Underground Railroad conducted runaway slaves North to freedom, this beautiful 45 acre estate now provides the setting for our four weeks summer camping program

Come play where former slaves breathed the air of freedom and where the proud Menantico Indians pitched their hogans and fished the streams and rivers of Cumberland County

Here you'll find magnificent places to hike and explore nature's wondrous surprises! Deer grazing in the woods, wild turkey, or even eagles soaring over are just a few of the scenes awaiting the very patient camper.

Camp Cedar Knoll, accredited by the American Camping Association, has a religious outlook that offers a well-balanced program which nurtures friendships, independence, creativity, and growth. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, or physical handicap.

While one week registrations are welcomed, it is recommended that a two-week or longer stay is engaged in order to take full advantage of the fun-filled camping experience.

I am a 64 year old former summer camper of Cedar Knolls and have fond memories of attending under the leadership of the late Dr. Pansy Borders, past president of the Women's auxiliary of the Baptist State Convention in New Jersey. I still say the table grace I learned and we sang in the dining hall. Glad to see that it is still operating under the auspices of the Baptist Assoc. / convention and pray that it will continue to shape young lives.
