Osnir retired from professional soccer in 1987 and made United States his home in 1990. As coach of the Capital Area Soccer league (CASL) in Raleigh, NC. Osnir inspired a brand of soccer that not only made the 80 Raleigh Caps Green a winning team, but also an exciting team to watch. Simply the Caps did things on the soccer field that no other team their age could match.
Due to Osnir's proved talented and success coaching young players, many inquiries came from the parents of the league asking for his profesional teaching and training technique. In the fall of 1992 he founded the Brazilian Soccer Academy.
The school was specifically desined to develop and guide talented young players, who could understand and learn the "Brazilian Soccer Style" and with the intent of not only helping these students develop as good soccer players but also guide them to become exceptional individuals. Since then BSA has offered numbers of clinics, camps, tours and training sessions to players, coaches and learns.
