Welcome to club volleyball. If this is your first experience choosing a club, all the details can be a little overwhelming. Relax, Illinois Heat is here and will provide you with all the information you need to get started. If you are a seasoned pro, check out the differences offered by Illinois Heat. Either way, I look forward to a fun and exciting year that I hope you will be a part of.

One of the main objectives of Illinois Heat Volleyball is to help the athletes determine challenging but achievable goals for the season and to meet those goals. Players will have goals that vary from, learning to overhand serve to learning to jump serve, or from learning how to play volleyball to making the A-Team at their school to playing in college. Whatever the goal, the teams will be designed and coached to allow the players to meet those goals.

Some of the common complaints I’ve heard from volleyball players and parents are, they didn’t get to go to “cool” tournaments and the communication isn’t designed for people new to club ball.

Both of these are addressed by Illinois Heat. The Girls 17U, 16U, 15U, 14U, 13U and 12U National Teams will all go to a minimum of one out of state qualifier. All teams will have the option of additional travel date(s). A sample schedule will be available at tryouts.

Timely communication will come out through regular newsletters and parent meetings. All fees will be announced upfront so that parents can plan for the payment dates throughout the year. This way there are no surprises when it comes to the cost of the program.

The club director will be on site for all practice dates. The club director will have interaction with each player throughout the year including being involved in evaluations and opportunities for each player.
