Prestigious La Jolla Country Day School, just north of San Diego, returns to host a couple NIKE Girls Basketball Camps this summer.La Jolla Country Day Head Coach Terri Bamford will direct these programs.  Coach Bamford has led the two-time State Champion LJCDS girls’ basketball team since 1999.  During her tenure, Coach Bamford’s squads have posted an impressive 259-67 record, won eight consecutive league titles, eight consecutive San Diego Section CIF titles (2001-2007), have made eight consecutive Southern Regional Championships, while winning five (2001,’02,’03,’04,and’08), and made five State Final appearances, winning State Titles in 2001 and 2002. Coach Bamford was also named the CalHi Sports Coach of the Year in 2001, the Breibart Hall of Champions Coach of the Year in 2002, and the Union Tribune Coach of the Year in 2003 and 2007.

 

Under Coach Bamford’s direction, twelve players have earned All-League and All-CIF honors including one McDonalds All- American 2004 and four McDonalds All-American nominees 2004, 2005, 2006. Seven of Bamford’s players are currently playing Division I basketball.
