The National Training Camp at UC Santa Cruz offers a unique opportunity for juniors who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence. Challenging and intense, this camp brings together ranked players to experience training in a total tennis environment. A ranking is not a requirement, but it is highly recommended.

 

Bob Hansen, U.C. Santa Cruz’s head men’s tennis coach, celebrates his 30th year as director of this camp. He has led the 'Banana Slugs' to a Division III National Championship seven times, and has been selected Intercollegiate Tennis Association 'Coach of the Year' three times and was the 'Coach of the Decade' for the 90's.   Co-Directing the camp for his 12th summer will be Pomona Pitzer head men's coach Ben Belletto.  Before taking the head coaching job at Pomona-Pitzer in 2003, Belleto ran a year-round junior tennis program in Santa Cruz.  He brings years of experience and an overall passion for the game of tennis.
