DescriptionSet on over 1600 acres of rolling hills and natural woodland along the Escambia River, the University of West Florida is located 10 miles north of downtown Pensacola and represents an ideal site for a Nike Camp. In its second year, the University of West Florida will run two weeks of overnight and day camp and will be directed by Derrick Racine, the tennis coach for the Women and Men's program at the University of West Florida. Racine is in his 12th season coaching at UWF. Since taking over the tennis programs from legendary head coach Ralph Skeeter Carson, Racine has continued the tradition and excellence of men's and women's tennis in Pensacola by being named three-time Division II ITA Men's National Tennis Coach of the year and has racked up two national championships in its last four seasons.Nike Tennis campers will practice and play at the Skeeter Carson Tennis Complex which has 10 outdoor courts.
