We will be changing the way RHRA offers football this year. The age cut off is September 1st in all age groups.
In the past we have allowed 6 year olds to play tackle football. This year we will refer all 5 and 6 year olds to upward football at the Methodist church on hwy 144 across from Kroger. We believe this will help them with their confidence and the fundamentals of football.
All 7 & 8 year olds will play in our 8U in-house league. We will be combining what use to be our 8U wildcats and our 8U in-house, under one group. Each team will consist of 11 to 15 players and everyone will have the opportunity to play both offense and defense. They will practice two nights a week from 6-7:30pm with games being played during the week. There is a mandatory playing time rule in this league. Towards the middle of the season a all-star team will be formed out of this group to represent RHRA in the end of season bowl games and district tournament, this will run through the first week in December.
All 9 & 10 year olds will play in our 10U in-house league. We will be combining what use to be our 10U wildcats and our 10U in-house, under one group. Each team will consist of 11 to 15 players and everyone will have the opportunity to play both offense and defense. They practice two nights a week from 6-7:30pm with games being played during the week. There is a mandatory playing rule in this league.

We will be having a 12U Wildcat team for the 11 and 12 age group. The 12U Wildcats are a competitive recreational football team and will represent RHRA in the South Georgia Youth Football League. They will be playing other teams from the surrounding communities. The Wildcats practice three nights a week from 6-8pm. The games will be played during the week and on Saturdays. There is no playing time rule at this age group. The coaches try to get all the kids in but there might be a few games where that is not possible. To insure that all the kids have a good time additional games will be added for the kids that don't get that much playing time. We have done this the past 3 years and the kids and parents love it. The season for the Wildcats runs through the first week in December.
