This is a very old fashioned summer camp where kids are parked for weeks at a time with the goal of them being "anywhere but home". There is no purpose or objective to the time spent here. With a decaying infrastructure (including poor counselor training), it offers nothing to kids who want to experience interesting, challenging activities. The fact that it is very affordable is reflected in the facilities being sub-par, the food poor, the cabins filthy, including disgusting plumbing issues, and there being no educational opportunities or day trips to nearby locations of interest. This camp is under-funded and has not evolved over the years. If you want your child to have a great summer camp experience, look elsewhere. If you are looking to get rid of them for the least amount of money regardless of the poor condition of the camp, this is the place for you.
