ideally located just 35 miles from Pittsburgh, PA, Saint Vincent College, is back for another year of basketball camp. This 200-acre suburban campus with excellent facilities and staff is a Nike camp favorite for many young female athletes looking to improve their basketball skills. Saint Vincent College is also the Training Camp Home to the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL.
Saint Vincent College Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Kristen Zawacki is our camp director. Zawacki, a former high school All-American, and graduate of Penn State, brings her over 20 years of coaching experience from Saint Vincent to this year's Nike Girls Basketball Camp. Coach Zawacki’s teams have qualified for 22 consecutive post-season tournaments, been in 17 conference championship title games, won 10 conference championship titles, earned 1 Division title, earned 7 national tournament bids, and Coach Zawacki has been named conference Coach-of-the-Year 10 times.
She has achieved an outstanding record of (503-275) and accumulated her 500th win last year. Her past 13 seasons had 20-plus victories; had 30-plus Bill Bradley Scholastic All-Americans; and her court excellence also is followed in the academics boasting a near-100% graduation rate. Her 2002 team was honored by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association by earning a team grade point average of 3.378 ranking them 15th in the nation. Kristen is a well-known camp clinician and is known for her enthusiasm, motivational skills, and her basketball knowledge.
