Situated on the ocean’s scenic edge of Boston’s North Shore is Endicott College. Campers train daily on North Field, home to Endicott’s NCAA Division III baseball program. This facility is fully equipped with dugouts, bullpen, lights and batting cages. In case of inclement weather, an indoor field house with batting tunnels is available.
Directing the camp will be Cary McConnell, Head Coach at Suffolk University. Cary McConnell was named Head Coach at Suffolk University on February 1, less than a month before the start of the 1996 season. After finishing with 31 wins and 28 losses in his first two seasons, the Rams made tremendous strides. Entering his 11th season as skipper of the Rams, McConnell has guided his teams to a 329-183 record (.642 winning %), five GNAC regular-season 1st place finishes, three NCAA Regional appearances, three GNAC Tournament Championships, one ECAC Tournament Championship, five ECAC Tournament bids, a national ranking of 18th, and the school recod in wins with 38 in a season. He was named GNAC Coach of the Year in the 2000, 2002, 2005 and 2008 seasons.
A graduate of the College of Wooster (Wooster, Ohio), McConnell was a four-year starter in the infield for the Scots and was selected to the All-Decade Team for the North Coast Athletic Conference for the 80’s. At Wooster, McConnell played in four straight NCAA Tournaments and one World Series finishing 5th. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and earned certification to teach at the Secondary level. In addition, he holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Rochester (Rochester, New York).
