SOAFA realized it's goals and the desire to meet the needs of the community for at risk youths were in common with other related not for profit entities in helping youths and families in need of assistance. By creating and promoting continued sporting events and programs, SOAFA's desire is to keep the interest of the youth in participating in positive programs throughout the year.



For the 3rd year in a row, SOAFA has partnered up with the "Day of Champions" and Josh Huepel's "14 Foundation" by presenting to the Oklahoma City area a camp of athletic training, mentoring and positive motivation, and personal self-confidence skill improvements through the direct teaching by professional coaches and athletes from various colleges, universities and various NFL professional teams. The families enter the first day seeking professional sports celebrities and walk away not seeing these folks as such, but as new friends and mentors. From day one, they realize that the camp is about the individual and not whose signing autographs or taking pictures. When you watch a youth give a coach a hug on the way out of camp, that's one child's life that only two days of participation made such a positive impact upon. After these two days, SOFA steps up to the plate to continue carrying the torch of continued support and mentoring
