A star for the Valdosta State men’s basketball team from 1964 through 1968, Michael Terry was a four-year starter and helped lead Valdosta State to conference championships in 1966, 1967 and 1968. He averaged 12.8 points as a freshman, 11.8 as a sophomore and a team-high 18.3 points a game as a senior while leading the Blazers to a spot in the NAIA national tournament. He is sixth on the VSU career scoring list with 1,599 points and played in a school record 116 games, all of which he started.
