Description

Each activity for Monroe’s summer camps are selected for

age appropriateness and Christian integrity. Fun physical

activities build endurance, coordination, and creative

problem solving. Fellowship will improve cooperation,

communication, and compassion. With the “Be a Hero”

theme, campers will discover wearing a cape and possessing

amazing physical strength is not required by Christ to make a

difference in the life of others. The theme will be carried out

through daily Bible study and worship as well as practiced in

other activities. Camp staff are leaders and role models. High

standards mean following the best practices for safety and

care of campers. In partnership with families and churches we

will nurture children in the way of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Activities for all camps: The camp experience is loaded with

active participation in swimming, crafts, canoeing, horseback

riding, cooking out, nature studies, group games, challenge

course, action songs, energizers, ropes course, and more.

Some special activities are listed with certain camps. Some

groups may choose different activities than the ones listed

here.

Bible study themes for each day include: Welcome Others,

Be a Friend, Accept Others, Give, Rejoice, and Share the

Good News.

The fee includes: all meals, all snacks, all activity equipment

and supplies (and horses), overnight accommodations

(except for Day Camps), transportation to and from local

activities for Mission Camps, canoeing, and all staffing.

Scholarships are available for those who need assistance.
