For the first time, on August 28, 2010, Oregon City Youth Football Association, OCYFA, is joining efforts with the Oregon City
Gridiron Club to host a charity auction. Both programs face new financial challenges every year. Budget cuts affect the high
school program and fund raising is needed to bridge this gap. All proceeds will go towards replacing outdated gear with new
and safe football equipment. We want to insure we are providing our kids with the safest football equipment to reduce
injuries. To maintain this type of quality equipment, we have to start raising money now. The proceeds will also fund financial
scholarships to the youth in our community who would otherwise be unable to participate. The youth program allows any
person who wants to play the great sport of football, the opportunity to do so.
We are very excited that both programs can join efforts to address our common needs. By doing this, we are hoping to not
only unify the two programs, but also to gain momentum towards bringing the community back Oregon City Football. A
successful football program does more than support the players and families in the program. It also generates a community
pride that is unmatched by any other sport. We want you, as a sponsor, and us, as a football program, to grow together. With
your generous donation and our support and guidance, we hope to not only produce football teams that we can all be proud
of, but more importantly, to create a forum of teaching these boys how to be the men of our future. The players in our
program represent our future and we need to invest in them. Help us do that.
We are asking friends, families, state and local businesses to donate items for this event. Any item, gift certificate, service, or
cash donation would be greatly appreciated. If you or your company is interested in making a donation, you can mail to the
address above, call contact number for pick up, or make arrangements with the person discussing our cause with you.
We are also asking you to consider being an event sponsor for a generous donation of $500.00 (which will include tickets
to the event for 4 guests). As part of your generosity we will publicize your support throughout the season via website
acknowledgements, and football programs. Your donation will also be shared through the auction program and event
posters.
We work hard to find partners like you who are willing to step forward and sponsor our auction to help offset the cost of the
event. We know our supporters feel as strongly as we do that the money raised through this event should go directly to the
youth in our community.
