DescriptionThe George Washington Boys Basketball Camp is an excellent alternative to other day camps in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. At GW Boys Basketball Camp, the campers are exposed to competitive sports in an enjoyable atmosphere. The boys are able to improve their skills while learning the importance of team work and good sportsmanship. All of our staff love basketball and enjoy working with children. Coach Karl Hobbs, the camp facilitator, has brought energy and excitement back to GW head coach of the Colonials. Prior to coaching at GW, he served as an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut for eight seasons and was an integral part of their 1999 NCAA National Championship. Coach Hobbs is responsible for the development of many players including NBA stars Ray Allen of the Seattle SuperSonics and Richard (Rip) Hamilton of the Detroit Pistons. He and his staff will help your child become a more skilled player while enjoying the game! In addition to the unparalleled basketball experience of GW Basketball Camp, the camp is also extremely convenient for parents who work in the area. Camp hours are compatible with a 9-to-5 work schedule. For parents who commute to work by Metrorail, the camp is also very convenient. Charles E. Smith Athletic Center is located just two short blocks from the Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro Station at 23rd and I Streets, NW . Details
