The primary emphasis is the development of fundamental basketball skills. This is accomplished through group lectures, small station drills, daily team practices and full court games. Campers will be grouped in divisions by age and skill level for competition. Campers will also take part in daily free throw, three-on-three and one-on-one contests by divisions. Awards will be given to the winning team members in each division and to outstanding campers in several categories selected by the staff.

Approximately 30 percent of the students who attend Northwestern University study abroad at some point in time during their educational experience in Evanston. Due to time commitments, rarely does that mark include student-athletes. However, the Northwestern men's basketball team will have the chance to head overseas when it travels to Italy later this summer.
