Fayette, Iowa - Nate Curran, a senior safety for the Peacock football program, was named as a member of the Consensus Draft Services Division II Preseason All-American First Team.

"Being selected to the All-American team is a reward to Nate for his commitment to excellence in the classroom, on the field and during the off season," said UIU Head Football Coach Tom Shea.

Curran, a native of Cedar Falls, Iowa, is coming off a junior season having been named to the Daktronics Super Region #3 Defensive First Team and the All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference South Division First Team.
