The shootouts are a highly competitive atmosphere! Multiple games are played each day. Teams are guaranteed at least 5 games total! Games will be stopped clock and registered officials will be used. Each team will start out in pool play and then go into tournament brackets according to record. Last year’s competition was some of the best from Michigan and Ohio!
• Relay victories count once per event, not for each individual competing on that relay.
• In all but football and men's swimming & diving, list does not include any national championships won before the NCAA began sanctioning a particular sport.
• Michigan won its last NCAA national title in 2010 -- men's gymnastics. Before that, the last NCAA national titles were softball (2005), field hockey (2001), men's gymnastics (1999), ice hockey (1996, '98) and men's swimming & diving (1995).
• Michigan won its last national title (any designation) in 2010 -- men's gymnastics. Before that, the last national titles (any designation) were sofball (2005), field hockey (2001), men's gymnastics in 1999, ice hockey in 1998 and football in 1997 (Associated Press).
• Trampoline is no longer a competitive national championship.
Some sport hold camps during other times of the year.
